Steve Ricoh Posted November 17, 2015 Share #2 Posted November 17, 2015 Not much if anything in focus, but for some reason I like it.
lmans Posted November 17, 2015 Share #3 Posted November 17, 2015 This is an interesting shot.....and while I like it, if it would have been just a bit less blurred in the foreground, it would have set apart it apart from the background more-so. But an almost eery looking shot in a busy street. You have a good narrative going here, so all in all for me...not a bad shot and certainly a street shot in what I regard as a street shot. The accompanying poem is a nice addition to the visual narrative... jim
Bill Livingston Posted November 17, 2015 Share #4 Posted November 17, 2015 I just like it, period. I did a series of photographs of friends when I was at college in Cambridge in the seventies, all portraits, all slightly motion blurred and I really liked them... none of my friends did though... no imagination! (Thats what you get when you find when you are the company of engineers and mathematicians though... ) I thought they looked like Lucian Freud portraits, but using photography as the medium rather than paint... This style adds movement and is actually FAR more like the memory one takes away of a moment like this... a fleeting glimpse of something that passes at the very moment you look at it. I've often liked your work on here... this is another one I have enjoyed. Thanks for posting.
robert_parker Posted November 17, 2015 Share #5 Posted November 17, 2015 Original and imaginative, for me little details like the light top centre right and the sense of movement overall make the picture (note I mean picture, not image or shot) for me
Bill Livingston Posted November 17, 2015 Share #6 Posted November 17, 2015 Of course, I meant Francis Bacon, not Lucian Freud. I wondered how I had got that so wrong then remembered Francis Bacon did three studies of Lucian Freud... I claim age as an impediment to accurate recall... This was the sort of thing I was thinking about when I was looking at the original post... only this was a painting... Welcome, dear visitor! Freudian slip, Bill? I, too. like this shot. It speaks of the bustle of fleeting interactions, whilst everyone is ensconced in their own universe. It's alive. Good work, Massimo. I would like to see you develop this... really good photo... Uh... Bill, that's really nice to hear for me, I love the work of Francis Bacon. It is possible that, in a certain way, I was influenced by his painting, yes... But I never realized it before. So, thanks again Bill for your generous comment. I'm working on this kind of vision... Take care. Max
