MarkP Posted November 15, 2015 Share #1 Posted November 15, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) So the rectangular eyepiece fell out of my CL recently and I purchased a new one form Don Goldberg. I was going to send the camera off locally for CLA and resecuring the new eyepiece. Then I thought I'd just fix the eyepiece myself as I can probably defer a CLA but I can't work out how to secure it onto the camera. Does anyone know how I should do this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

TomB_tx Posted November 16, 2015 Share #2 Posted November 16, 2015 Just remove the top cover - as I remember the eyepiece comes off with it. Remove the strap, as the cover fits over a strap lug. Remove the screw holding the advance lever. (Smooth screw - grip with a rubber sheet.) Remove the collar around the shutter button (same way - rubber sheet). Then there should just be one real screw holding on the cover. Raise the end away from the strap lug and it should come off.
