lmans Posted November 11, 2015 Share #1 Posted November 11, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Shot in Philadelphia streets...Leica M3, Trix400. I loved the lights strung in the background but also like the profile this young lady provided. So I purposely made her the center of attention and clarity even though she is in the far right hand of the image. Welcome, dear visitor! Steve Ricoh Posted November 11, 2015 Share #2 Posted November 11, 2015 It's the type of shot that gets the viewer asking questions, in my case asking what were they up to, and the limited Dof adds to the mystique. So in all a very view-worthy shot!
Louis Posted November 11, 2015 Share #3 Posted November 11, 2015 I really like this shot! The mood is excellent and the composition and light work so well. As Steve mentioned, it makes us to think about what is going on. IMHO, this is a perfect example of a good "Street Photography". Many of us take a camera outside and just shoot anything without any real meaning or story! Even if technically the shot is perfect, without any story or "meaning" (!), it doesn't have any real value!... This is the kind of shot that I really wish to see more often in a "Leica Forum"! lmans Posted November 11, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted November 11, 2015 Thanks..... I try to make sure that all of my street shots tell a story....It is way too easy to just look at a photo and think that because the shot technically looks good (contrast etc)...that it has to be a good shot. I would guess that out of each roll of film I shoot on the streets, i am lucky to get one shot I really like that tells a story. Back to the streets..... jim

Unfortunately, we see so many "beautiful" shots that have nothing to say!... Just people passing by!
