robert blu Posted November 5, 2015 Share #1  Posted November 5, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Now it seems there are no doubts about the future of the T system I'm reconsidering purchase.  My question to the T user: is the T your main camera/system ? Or do you use it beside another system (film, M.240, ...)  Just my curiosity!  robert
Advertisement Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Hi robert blu, Take a look here Is the T your main camera?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest Posted November 5, 2015 Share #2 Â Posted November 5, 2015 It is now yes. I sold my Sony gear.
euston Posted November 5, 2015 Share #3 Â Posted November 5, 2015 No, not yet but it could be. I regard my M9 as my main camera but it's in Wetzlar at the moment having its sensor changed. The longer it stays there, the more likely it is that It will have to share top spot with the T when it comes back. Â The T works well with all my M mount lenses and the two native T lenses I have - the wide and the tele zooms - are first class. I like the way the T handles and I like the touch screen interface. IQ is outstanding. For the kind of photos I take the T's smaller APS-C sensor is of little significance. Â For me, the only thing the T lacks is the rangefinder way of seeing the subject. I won't give up the M because I like an optical viewfinder and the M way of focusing.
TheHobbit Posted November 5, 2015 Share #4  Posted November 5, 2015 Would like it to be, since I have 2 of them. The D-lux 109 is also there but can't seem to break away from my X-100. So my bag is now filled with 23mm on 1 body, 18-56 on another, a D-Lux 109 and X-100. I have the EVF (1) as well.

Belle123 Posted November 5, 2015 Share #6 Â Posted November 5, 2015 The T is the main camera I carry around always. Â But, when I really go out just for the sole purpose of taking photos, I consider either my M240 or now my new MM as my main camera. Â I also can carry the Ms around every day too, and have and do often, but the T is easier due to weight, so I reach for it more often if just casual shooting on the fly. BBHewee Posted November 5, 2015 Share #7 Â Posted November 5, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) As above. I keep a T in my backpack at all times with the 23 Cron for compactness. As such it is my main camera. Â But I still take more pictures with my M.
dbchun Posted November 5, 2015 Share #8 Â Posted November 5, 2015 Yup it has become my main camera, I still have a M6 but the steps required to process the film, etc. has firmly placed the T as my go-to.

As a side note, I keep my Summicron M 28mm Asph lens on the T and focus manually. Â Next year I plan to replace that with a T lens, which will probably be the new Summilux for the T. Â Waiting for the wait lists.
dkCambridgeshire Posted November 5, 2015 Share #10  Posted November 5, 2015 One of them!! I did not pay much attention to the negativity and predictions of doom from those who had probably never used the T and who failed to recognise its merits. I prefer to read e.g. Jono's comments … and as soon as he mentioned he'd ordered a T for himself that spoke volumes … and I commenced buying more lenses specifically to use with the T (but not T lenses). For me, the Leica T is one of THE most versatile and practical cameras available.  dunk
A B Posted November 5, 2015 Share #11 Â Posted November 5, 2015 Yes, it is my main and only digital camera I have. I do have a couple of old film reflex (Leica and Nikon) but I don't use them any more. Â AB

ReturningToFilm Posted November 5, 2015 Share #15 Â Posted November 5, 2015 As of 2pm today the T is my sole digital camera. Flogged my sole M lens to fund the purchase but still have M4 body which I will probably get a Zeiss for at some point (and also have M-T adapter). So far v impressed just taking some test shots around the house, and the interface is really very intuitive. Good luck with your decision...

gbealnz Posted November 5, 2015 Share #17 Â Posted November 5, 2015 Nope, my T shares time with the X-Vario, and the M6 plus LeicaFlex SL. Oh, and a forlorn looking (hasn't been out in ages) X1. I really need to thin this collection out a bit, but what do I sell? Gary
MichaelU Posted November 5, 2015 Share #18 Â Posted November 5, 2015 My T is my main and only camera. I have the Vario-Elmar-T 18-56 and the Summicron-T 23. Absolutely convinced, would do the same again. I have my T always with me, the perfect travel companion.
