Iduna Posted November 3, 2015 Share #6 Posted November 3, 2015 Andrew, I agree with the others about the fine light and coloirs. What about a small crop from above! the bright spot at the top does not contain any information, so one cojuld try a crop to make the picture stronger. AndreasAM Posted November 4, 2015 Author Share #7 Posted November 4, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Andrew, I agree with the others about the fine light and coloirs. What about a small crop from above! the bright spot at the top does not contain any information, so one cojuld try a crop to make the picture stronger. Thank you, for your comments, Iduna, About the cropping. This picture could have gone either way. The cropping you suggest would focus on the thistles itself, beautiful as they are in the light. Only I shot them at a approximately 3,5 m1 distance with the 50 mm at f2. Although the detail is reasonable good, for a more detailed shot of them, I then would have preferred my APO R 100 mm. macro. But this wasn't the in the bag that day, so I opted for a shot of the thistles including a glimpse of their surroundings in the field. Although the patch of sky isn't the most clear one, it does add some depth and perspective to the picture. But everything is subjective... I very much appreciate the suggestion though. Maybe a close up next time. Thanks again!!
AndreasAM Posted November 4, 2015 Author Share #8 Posted November 4, 2015 Gave it a try. Although not a decent printable size anymore, so only screen view for this crop. Both have there merits, I would say! Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members!
