atvrider Posted October 27, 2015 Share #1 Posted October 27, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have purchased the Leica wrist strap and (based upon the excellent reviews) ordered the Thumps Up grip for the Q. What accessories, third party or Leica brand, have you purchased and would you recommend them?
Advertisement Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Hi atvrider, Take a look here What are the best accessories you have purchased for the Q?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Mr.Q Posted October 27, 2015 Share #2 Posted October 27, 2015 Doesn't get much better than the Leica handgrip and finger loop IMHO.
Photon42 Posted October 27, 2015 Share #3 Posted October 27, 2015 Indeed the handgrip with loop is very handy It replaces with wrist strap for me. The loop-o-grip does actually blank out quite some other accessories, because the do not fit anymore - of course not because they would be useless
iJeff Posted October 28, 2015 Share #4 Posted October 28, 2015 The Leica handgrip. It improves the handling of the Q tremendously. The additional weight gives it a good balance. The only downside is you need to remove it to take out the SD card or battery.
stefanusj Posted October 28, 2015 Share #5 Posted October 28, 2015 thumbs up, artisan strap acam 301 and black electrical tape (to cover leica logo and to cover side aluminium body that connects with strap's ring)
viramati Posted October 28, 2015 Share #6 Posted October 28, 2015 +1 for the Leica handgrip
katsanes Posted October 28, 2015 Share #7 Posted October 28, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thumbs Up is my must-have too. With that I don't feel the need for the hand-grip, which I might like if I didn't have to remove it to get to the battery compartment. That bugs me enough to skip it, even if it's actually worth the hassle.
Mr.Q Posted October 28, 2015 Share #8 Posted October 28, 2015 It takes 3 seconds to remove the battery or SD card. To remove the handgrip, it take another 5 seconds. Is that really a hassle?
katsanes Posted October 28, 2015 Share #9 Posted October 28, 2015 It takes 3 seconds to remove the battery or SD card. To remove the handgrip, it take another 5 seconds. Is that really a hassle? Yep. For me it is! I must be ready to shoot in 4 seconds or less, every time. (joking)
