lct Posted October 8, 2015 Share #22 Posted October 8, 2015 I may be a real dinosaur, but I always copy data from the card to the PC manually. The real dinosaur is the one ignoring that data can be copied in some other way. Did not try myself BTW. What for?
edwardkaraa Posted October 8, 2015 Share #23 Posted October 8, 2015 The real dinosaur is the one ignoring that data can be copied in some other way. Did not try myself BTW. What for? I have my own filing system organized by date and location so I don't use LR organizer. I select and copy the files manually in the card folder and paste them in the relevant folder(s) of my archives. If there are any anomalies like corrupted files or jpg instead of dng they're very easy to spot.
Berlinman Posted October 8, 2015 Share #24 Posted October 8, 2015 Back to the reasons: If the M240 freezes, there is sometimes a reset to the defaults after the restart.
tobey bilek Posted October 8, 2015 Share #25 Posted October 8, 2015 I always have an extra battery of every type. I top it off monthly, then replace the camera battery and charge that one. Been doing this 10 years and no battery issues yet.

rscheffler Posted October 20, 2015 Share #29 Posted October 20, 2015 This Jpeg-reset happened to me when I accidentally left the camera on overnight and came back to find it fully drained. I normally leave the sleep mode disabled to avoid the wake-from-sleep delays when shooting all-day events, etc. Anyway, went out for a walk and realized after about 30-40 images that it had reset to Jpeg, probably because the card write time seemed shorter than usual, which made me suspicious about a potential card or camera problem... BTW, in regards to lock-ups and them causing settings to reset: I find it helps to set up the camera as desired and then immediately turn it off. This state is then saved in some kind of memory which the camera will revert to in the event of a lock-up. With the latest firmware the instances of lock-ups has considerably decreased. For some reason I haven't bothered with user profiles....
