Advertisement Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Hi john_r_smith, Take a look here Beech Trees at Glebe Farm. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jmr Posted August 1, 2006 Share #2 Posted August 1, 2006 John, nice shot, I like the composition and the play of tones across the frame.
Rolo Posted January 25, 2007 Share #3 Posted January 25, 2007 John, that's a very pleasant shot. Good detail and nice toning as are a couple of your others I've just opened. Suggest the immediate foreground is shouting for attention in this one and drawing the eyes away from your main subject, but nevertheless it works. Interesting how you select your subjects with one of the world's finest coastlines all around you. Look forward to see more. Rolo

john_r_smith Posted January 25, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted January 25, 2007 John, Rolo and Stuart - thanks for your contributions. I had forgotten all about this one! Rolo, actually I do have quite a few coastal and marine pictures, but they tend to be on MF film so I can't post them here. I find the digital camera difficult to use around the sea and water, because the big dynamic range tends to blow out my highlights. Good old HP5 seems to do a better job Glad that you chaps liked the picture. John
