barjohn Posted September 23, 2015 Share #21 Posted September 23, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) By the way, the Q does not have in body stabilization. The lens is stabilized, hence you can hear the element move when the camera is turned off. However, that doesn't mean that the new camera won't have it since Panasonic has it in the GX8. Advertisement Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Hi barjohn, Take a look here Leica Q vs DSLR vs Leica M9. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sturkel Posted September 23, 2015 Share #22 Posted September 23, 2015 I agree that it is just one of 2 cameras I would always take with me for travels. For now it is the Q and the Nikon DF.

Tiptop2000 Posted September 24, 2015 Author Share #24 Posted September 24, 2015 Interesting to say they still preferred the DSLR. But the difference between the two Leica's is marginal!
Tiptop2000 Posted September 27, 2015 Author Share #25 Posted September 27, 2015 This could certainly get interesting: http://www.mirrorlessrumors.com/leica-announcement-on-october-20th-says-it-will-be-the-next-chapter-in-the-history-of-professional-photography/ Feels like Leica is having to move with the times, like Porsche had to move with the times and invest in 4X4's to fund its heritage 911. Tiptop2000 Posted October 6, 2015 Author Share #26 Posted October 6, 2015 Decided to take the plunge and move from the Fuji X100 to the Q. Been reviewing the sample images and reviews online. Loving the colour and sharpness, almost painting like in nature. Will post a few shots when I've made my purchase and hit the street. Exciting times, thanks for all the contributions to date, really appreciate the support. Sorry I was a little painful with the requests, its just a considerable investment and I wanted to feel comfortable with the decision.
