I just received my M9-P back! Sent the camera off mid March, they recieved it and sent me a quote of repairs that needed to be done, including sensor replacement on March 21st.

So about 13 weeks total turn around, which was about how much I expected. I also got a free Leica stainless steel water bottle. :D

I sent my 50mm Summilux with the camera too, but it didn't get returned and I know it was finished, so I'm going to have to give Leica NJ a quick call to follow up. Hoping it just got sent in a separate shipment.

I received the estimate confirmation, but Leica said need to charge some fees, such as labour hour cost, a material named "flexible board" need to be replaced, totally cost 222.92 EUR, does anyone meet this situation? or Leica change the policy already and start to charge the replacement? p.s: my camera hasn't any electronic problem, just the CCD corrosion.

You could have the top engraved (another three months wait, I guess), or have the camera changed from black to bright chrome or the other way around, or ask for a-la-carte leather.

Leica checks the camera out and if any other work needs to be done they will charge for the extra. That has been the case since the beginning of the replacement programme, and not unreasonable IMO.

I can assure you that they are not looking for extra work right now.
