Tom Barry Posted August 31, 2015 Share #1  Posted August 31, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I spotted this Texas whitetail doe and her big but still spotted fawn on my morning walk just at sunrise today. The scene was in shadow so exposure was 1/20th sec (ISO 400). I think the built-in viewfinder really helps steady the camera. I doubt image stabilization would work this well if I had to hold the camera away from my face.  Look, deer by tombarry975, on Flickr
fotografr Posted August 31, 2015 Share #2 Â Posted August 31, 2015 Beautiful creatures in identical poses. What's with the bamboo? Is it cultivated in Texas?
Tom Barry Posted August 31, 2015 Author Share #3 Â Posted August 31, 2015 Beautiful creatures in identical poses. What's with the bamboo? Is it cultivated in Texas? Yep, that's bamboo. These neighbors grew it as a screen. Luckily, our neighborhood is so craggy and rocky that the bamboo doesn't spread enough to be bothersome.
Northwest Wanderer Posted August 31, 2015 Share #4 Â Posted August 31, 2015 Fine image Tom. Like Brent, I was curious about the bamboo. Any pandas in there?

pauledell Posted August 31, 2015 Share #6  Posted August 31, 2015 Tom,  A marvelous capture with the deer posing as they did. Great composition with the deer posed between the trees.  Paul
Iduna Posted September 1, 2015 Share #7 Â Posted September 1, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Tom, Â very nice catch. Yes, I admit I was also puzzled by the bamboo - but it looks lovely and makes the picture softer.
