A coded lens will override this however in the event an uncoded lens is mounted, the camera will revert back the 'last used lens' and go with that. I think this is a bloody great feature and wonder if the M9/ M-E has the same/ similar functionality? In my case I have two coded lenses and one uncoded so it would be perfect. I set the camera manually for the uncoded one, and then decided to switch to a coded lens. THEN switching back the uncoded lens SHOULD IN THEORY revert back to the manual setting. Make sense? BerndReini Posted September 1, 2015 Share #4 Posted September 1, 2015 I believe that if you mount an uncoded lens without setting the recognition to manual, the lens will just be handled without any correction. I hope it is this way since I ave a few uncoded lenses and I would rather leave them uncorrected than have say a 75mm lens corrected like a 28mm. In my experience, the corrections have become much less important since the M9. They were really vital with the M8 when using UV/IR filters and correcting for the color shifts they caused at the edges with wide angle lenses. I wouldn't worry too much with the M.
