Ted Lemon Posted September 3, 2015 Share #24  Posted September 3, 2015 My APO50 was a perm fixture on my MM1 (what it was bought for) and also used on my M9 ( (the colour rendition of this lens is brilliant). I then replaced my MM1 on the sensor corrosion programme with a M246 and I have to say the APO50 does not meet the same standard of the incredible sharpness across the frame I had on the MM1.  I thought this was maybe a focus calibration issue so yesterday tested all my lenses with the M246 and the APO50 is spot on focus wise. However the lens which seemed the sharpest and most MM1/APO50 like on the M246 was the APO75. I am not a technical person so have no idea why this is it just was.  So if you are using a CCD based M I think its a good investment but on CMOS based M's I am not too sure. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
lct Posted September 3, 2015 Share #25 Â Posted September 3, 2015 Been using mine on CMOS (M240, Ricoh GXR), X-Trans (Fuji X-E2) and CCD (M8.2, Epson R-D1) based cameras and i can't seem to perceive any significant difference as far as sharpness is concerned. May come from the fact that your M246 has more resolution than your MM1, somewhat like M240 compared to M9 or M8. I have no experience with MM bodies though.
