lct Posted August 1, 2015 Share #21  Posted August 1, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Doesn't seem that difficult to  make a new 50/2 non apo the same quality as the Summarit 50/2.5 i.e. with less CA, less flare, less focus shift and less softness in the corners at wide aperture but Leica would sell less Summarits and less Summicrons apo then i suspect so i wonder if they have any interest in a move like that. Digital is a different kettle of fish of course.  Can't argue about the time. Someone here recently posted comparison images showing better flare response with the V5 but that could be entirely coating performance. I tried to find the post but no luck; perhaps poster will ping. Unless mentioned I always assume images here are digital in origin and have their certain abilities.
