I would've gone with a smaller aperture... the choker is a bit out of focus which makes it a 'distracting black thing' below the subjects primarily high key features. 

 

Not sure... maybe the fact that it's black just pulls to much attention to it in focus or not.

I do agree with you about the choker ... I did a small series afterwards without the choker and chain --- However I used my M9 and 35mm Lux. Also wide open.

I've been trying to convince myself to carry an SL instead of an S for the focus and weight, but then when I use the S, I'm always happier. S(006), 70/2.5

No brainer mate............bin the SL and just shoot S00 anything
