david_choy58 Posted May 22, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 22, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a 35mm cron and am thinking to replace it with a 35mm lux or buy a 50mm lux? What are your thoughts? I want to use it for bokeh and low light.

B&W Posted May 22, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 22, 2007 Go for the 50 lux:) I get nice enough bokeh with my 35 cron and also love my 50 lux (despite it's back focusing)

cbretteville Posted May 22, 2007 Share #7 Posted May 22, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) That's Nice! I love the look of that. You like coffe as much as me? Oh yes! Popper coffee is a required food group. I got really spoilt after living around the corner from a small batch coffee roastery here in Oslo. ISO 1600? Ooops, too much coffee I guess - ISO 160. - Carl
scott kirkpatrick Posted May 22, 2007 Share #8 Posted May 22, 2007 Well, I'm starting to see the differences in the 35 Summicron bokeh, but I like it -- it preserves more detail in both foreground and background. Definitely not as restful as the summilux example just above, but that has coffee to liven it up. This picture with the energetic Summicron boheh is from Munich last week, and was powered by weissbeer and spargel. scott
