Advertisement Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Hi stunsworth, Take a look here Fountains Abbey. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted May 20, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 20, 2007 Steve - Perfect angle, excellent detail, depth, tonal range and contrast. Somebody will complain about blowing out detail in the doorway, but it does not bother me, and it is necessary to capture the rest of the image. harmsr Posted May 20, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 20, 2007 Steve, Excellent use of the 15. That little lens continues to impress me, especially at its' price. Nice composition. Ray
jmr Posted May 20, 2007 Share #4 Posted May 20, 2007 Steve, nicely composed with good detail - the 15 worked rather well in there.
andybarton Posted May 21, 2007 Share #5 Posted May 21, 2007 I have tried many times to shoot this part of the abbey and failed miserably every time. Knowing how dark it is down there, even when the sun is shining, this is a really excellent shot, especially without a tripod.
stunsworth Posted May 21, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted May 21, 2007 Thanks guys. Andy, from memory the exposure was just under a second. As I say there was a very conveniently placed window sill, so it was just a case of setting the self timer and pressing the shutter.
