sml_photo Posted June 1, 2015 Share #1 Posted June 1, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Glencoe, Ill. Thursday night....walking around with my camera. A young couple were walking their dog and we greeted each other as we passed. One thing led to another and we ended up talking about photography (since I had my camera around my neck!). I asked them if they'd like me to take their picture and they willingly agreed. (I explained that I was going to shoot "wide open" to blur out the background.) Nice pose by her. Perfect light (sundown). Good location...in front of the train tracks. Couldn't resist. I gave them my card and suggested they contact me for copies of the photo, but I haven't heard so far. (Street photography or People? I wasn't sure.) Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! pauledell Posted June 1, 2015 Share #2 Posted June 1, 2015 A nice shot that is well posed. The subject's facial tones seem quite pale. Paul

sml_photo Posted June 2, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted June 2, 2015 A nice shot that is well posed. The subject's facial tones seem quite pale. Paul Thanks, Paul! Yes...that apparently is "her look." And with her makeup and eyes, I think it looks quite dramatic. There is a bit of a color cast to her face, but after all, it was shot with available light at sunset...about 8PM. The B&W version has the same tonal characteristics, but I thought the color showed off more of her features. (My camera is setup to provide a RAW color and JPG b&w image and I showed her the b&W preview from the back of the camera after I took the photo.) I agree...I liked her pose, too. (one of three clicks of the shutter...tough to choose)
