Hello folks,

New to this forum  :)

Wondered if you experts on binoculars could possibly assist?

I have just bought a pair of new Leica binoculars. They are due to arrive tomorrow having purchased them online from a reputable dealer.

Model: Geovid HD-R 10x42 rangefinder binoculars

I have now noticed that one day later they have put a newer model up on the site for only £100 more.

Model: Geovid HD-R 10x42 (type 403) rangefinder binoculars

My question is thus:

Is there much difference between the two, and if there is, should I send the others back unopened and get the newer model?

I have absolutely no idea. Thanks for any advice!

I have the Geovid HD-B in 8x42, used for hunting and shooting.

A truly exceptional piece of glass.  And the laser rangefinder function is incredibly helpful for long-range shooting.
