Advertisement Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Hi Super Angulon, Take a look here Where should I buy Leica lenses in Germany/Austria?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Lightwrangler Posted May 17, 2015 Share #2  Posted May 17, 2015 Your best chance for the lenses would be the Leica Store Munich  Another Boutique in town is: Foto Sauter, Sonnenstraße 26, 80331 Munich, close to "Sendlinger Tor Platz"  And a smaller but usually well stocked shop is: Foto Reiter, Marienplatz 8, 80331 Munich, just on the backside of City Hall. Oh, Dear. I just checked the store site and learned Mr. Reiter retired in march 2015. Really sad, I loved the little shop.  You can find all the details as well as stores in other cities on Leicas Dealer Locator site.

Super Angulon Posted May 17, 2015 Author Share #4 Â Posted May 17, 2015 Thank you. Will I have a better price with shops other than Leica store or the price is standard all over Germany and Austria?
RF’sDelight Posted May 17, 2015 Share #5  Posted May 17, 2015 If you buy only one item you’ll get the same Leica price in every store in A and GER.  PS: the Leicashop Vienna, the Leica store Munich and Foto Rahn in Frankfurt have all great used Leica gear but with premium price tags since Leica stuff is sought after again. jaapv Posted May 17, 2015 Share #6  Posted May 17, 2015 Leica prices are identical all over the Euro zone, with minor VAT differences possibly. In theory you should be able to claim your VAT back when residing outside the EU, but unfortunately the companies involved in this service are robber barons, so part of the VAT is the best one can hope for. In fact, the best place for buying are tax-free airport shops, but one must order in advance for more expensive items.
dugby Posted May 18, 2015 Share #7 Â Posted May 18, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Do you have the ability to purchase from a local Leica shop in your home town / country ? Â This can be useful in establishing your local relationship, especially if product servicing and/or future favours may need to be called upon ? Â I've visited Leica boutiques and dealers, multiple times in Hong Kong, Tokyo, NYC, London, Paris, KL, Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne and chose to buy multiple M products in my home town of Perth Australia. Â Â It's also a way to be able to drop-in on your local Leica dealer, to touch and play with their new toys.

I have visited this store on November last year. The clerks are very helpful and friendly since I am looking for the product which are not in store. He helped me to ring other stores to see if there are stock over there. Finally, I got what I wanted. This summer I will go and visit there again.  In addition, I think this Leica store in Munich seems not have full collection of Leica products for presenting. Since I have been to Leica Store in London there you can find complete collection of Leica products so you can have test shootings as you like.
