Entrance to the basement. Luxembourg's fortress was dismantled after the treaty of London in 1867 to ensure its neutrality; over 24km of underground defences were destroyed. Small sections of the tunnels remain with entrances scattered around the city.

As you can see, I've been very busy today collecting entrances. Many thanks to the organisers (or is it just Pete?) of these monthly challenges - their inspiration has saved me from an endless round of pictures of mangles, pig troughs and coffins.
