chris_yu Posted April 26, 2015 Share #1 Posted April 26, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Having owned the M240P for a few months, until this morning, I realized that when I switch on the camera to S or C ,the LED at the camera back will flash for a few seconds and I also noticed and felt that the shutter curtain was wide open.Is this normal.As all the other fuctions work okay. Thanks jaapv.Yes,I did set the Light metering mode to classic.But,after I reset it back to classic/LV disabled,when I switched it on again,it did not trigger the shutter curtain to wide open(i.e. same as what my M9P did. I think slightly more open thread titles would get the same results without all the misconceptions surrounding these cameras being fuelled even further... It took a good week for me to gain enough confidence to purchase another Safari. Yes, I'm glad I did, but the first few days with the latest camera where somewhat filled with trepidation. My confidence in the M-P240 Safari is returning as I see the images it produces and its continued smooth and trouble free performance. Easy to use yes, easy to understand - Maybe..
