On a long awaited trip to India for my big birthday recently ,we had the chance to see Tigers in the wild, in fact it was one of the reasons we went in the first place ,but guess who never saw one? yes me.

I had a trip to the hospital with Delhi Belle, while my better half, Fiona, got this shot on her V-Lux.

When she got back from the safari, I asked (from my pathetic bed) if she had seen any Tigers, and reluctantly she said she had, knowing how disappointed I was in not going, but when she showed me this shot I couldn't believe it.

I thought the best we would get was its back end and tail

Think I will give her my M8 and D800 and leave the rest to her.

Think I will stick to the Zoo too.

Be certain to read Barbara's trip notes on our site about Bandhavgarth -- There are some strange goings on there which you should be aware of which prevent many people from seeing tigers.  Once you know about it you can take steps to correct it.
