Summilux and UV / IR filter

I think you'll find that you will most definitely want the IR filter to keep the color accurate with the M8. Coding on the other hand should not be necessary due to the fact that the FOV is not wide enough to impose the cyan drift that occur at 35mm and wider.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the coding is only assisting in the cyan drift.

Might be good news for me as I have the UV / IR filter but not the coding in my pre-asph summilux.

My Cron 28 asph is coded and has the lense... :)

I'd use filters and remember if possible to select the correct menu option since the cyans can just about creep in, if you are really really picky - but I wouldn't worry about it enough to switch menu choices unless feeling leisurely. Best thing about the coding on this lens is the EXIF info.
