I cannot say that any of these photos give me any sort of feeling when looking at them.

I enjoyed your comment.

It would be interesting if you post one of your photos to see how it should be done to have a beautiful street portrait like you said !

At the time we take a "street image" we feel it's our best yet.

And it may be so, others may and sometimes do disagree.

That doesn't make our work any less important.. I think we share our work to enrich others &

to say I was there, here's what I saw.. Yes in retrospect I maybe could have done better at times but sometimes there is no time, other times the fleeting moment dissapears in the blink of an eye. I gave up pure street photography mainly because of the dangers it holds both for my personal security and secondly for "Security" ..

So, stay safe out there, Regards, L

Thanks Mano , I appreciate your comment.

Mano, there's only two ways in my opinion for this kind of street portraits :)

-The first is as well done by Adam (Miller) ie a picture by surprise closely with

the reaction of the person smiling or unpleasant

-The second is to take people instantly without their noticing.

Facial expression is so varied and rich, this is human nature

Otherwise I'm interested advice for beautiful portraits street

Street photography by its very nature will have nice smiling faces, scowlers and a zillion other facial expressions. Out Of focus, blurry movement are also part of the street photography pie... If you want perfect go into a studio.. Now that's a whole new bag of worms...

I very rarely offer photographic advice, the Post with the 2 young guys was just calling out for a crop..I'm happy it proved successful.. Now back to my Remy, and a little Holmes

of Baker Street...:D

It is precisely the look of the boy that I like

Thank you Josh for your comment

I try to reframe the boy as advised Mano :o

Finally it's a good idea :)

Doc, I like the first frame with the two boys more.

No problem of the lost step on the bottom: it sucks you up to the top.

The new frame has no suspense at all. No dynamics.

Oh, I'm not being critical about your photos; sometimes the mistakes can be fun. But, the photos I saw in this thread have not given me any sort of specific feeling, nothing really stands out to me in the emotional sense.
