It's an absolutely stunning lens wide open Bill. Stopped down 2.8 and further, I don't know if one could reliably and consistently tell the difference. But, you buy it for what it can do - not what it can't do. Yes, and warmer rendering than the 35/1.4ASPH and 35/1.4ASPH-FLE It's almost like the 35mm equivalent of the Noctilux f1 v4 For the classic look, i've settled on a few favorites for the CCD Monochrom - 21/3.4SA, 28cron, 35AA, 35/2.8, 50/1 v4, 73/1.9, 75/1.4, 85/1.5 and 90/2pre-AA. Unfortunately it is well nestled in the "collector" category and there doesn't seem to be any chance of the price coming down to an earthly level ...
