stephengv Posted February 15, 2015 Share #1 Posted February 15, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone where we can buy a suitable rain guard for the M240? I know its weather sealed, but I don't think it can handle monsoon rains and salt waters plashes.

rirakuma Posted February 15, 2015 Share #5 Posted February 15, 2015 The M works great even in heavy rain, mine's been through all kinds and it doesn't get problems. In the rain I always use filters and usually try to cover the lens when I'm not shooting but I don't mind the body getting soaked. Welcome, dear visitor! bocaburger Posted February 15, 2015 Share #6 Posted February 15, 2015 Mostly I just keep the camera under my rain jacket and pull it out quickly to shoot. Also when I travel I grab those freebie disposible shower caps found in hotel room bathrooms. Keep 1 or 2 in my camera bags. Great for keeping the camera covered when it's too hot to wear a rain parka.

earleygallery Posted February 15, 2015 Share #8 Posted February 15, 2015 There's no need really to keep the camera/lens exposed to the rain. Keep it under a jacket/coat unless your taking a photo. Wear a scarf you can use to wipe raindrops off it with. If there's some shelter to stand under, use it. You can protect your camera with a simple plastic bag, with holes cut for your hands and the lens to poke through. Lots of ways to avoid getting your camera soaked.
