The camera performed very well and I get some astonishing results in term of color saturation and details. This until today when surprisingly I discovered the camera does not show anything else than menu and options on the display. I think I have a dead sensor. My M8 has been at Solms for 4 weeks and no sign of its return yet - no replacement offered, not even temporarily - its not a very impressive way to treat customers. My dealer will send it to Leica - according to the service hotline they are not replacing the full body, I'll just get a new sensor ... Let's see how long it's gonna take them to send it back. The introduction on the market of the Digilux 3 came very fast in my opinion. The competition probably still accelerated this. And in such a way it will give probably soon a successor. I bought one each for my wife and oldest daughter and we gave one to my wife's sister for her 40th birthday, all within the last 2 months.
