I like both, but I'm still amazed by how you took them with no visible footprints on that sculpted and manicured sand🙂

They’re there, it’s the overexposure that fades them away.  I have about a dozen images to go with these ones and they increasingly show more footprints. This is at Maroma in Mexico, they use a little kart in the morning to comb the beach.

You can see the combing kart on the far left on her picture ( more visible on the landscape version)

i admit a little shame, but we really wanted to do this combo. Since we both shot with Leica (me q343 and she d lux8) i figured it's a fair post.  the one above is her solo alone, which I fell in love with so had to extract from the exercise.  Also, a good chance to see how dlux can actually peform very well against other systems.I call it: " a portrait of the photographer taking a portrait of the photographer and the portraits they made"

I like the combo, the stripes on your trunks mimic the beach rake lines and contrast with the solid clothes and the horizontal lines of the umbrellas in the left photo. it’s a theme and variations. I’m always impressed with how good D-Lux photos can be. I owned the D-Lux 3 back in the day, loved that camera. Sometimes I wish I got the D-Lux 8 instead of the Q343.

Dlux8 is amazing but I would never compare it to the q’s  the DOF, clarity and pixel count just does not equate. Neither does the 43 apo.  But, great camera to snap around with.
