I like this a lot Ingrid. Convention requires us leave space in front of the face ‘to look into’ however, here you’ve broken the rules and the result is terrific. Congratulations on a very fine portrait.

It's a photo i took in the local music scene. 

I was worried that the musician would move "out of the frame"—musicians don't stand still.... 🙂

I must say, that I am astonished how sharp the m8 looks like. I did not add any sharpening.

That said, next session I will use the m9m instead of the m8. Two reasons: I don’t like a purple background, but more important, the godox trigger almost didn’t got off the m8. Don’t want to risk the trigger being stuck, and with the m9m I guess I can use modeling light instead of flash…

A few moments later.  Light was a little harsh coming in the window, but just one of the issues trying to use only as-found lighting.
