PopFlash, Adorama, B&H, no one seems to have one or know when they will get one. I made the mistake of ordering one from The Camera Store when the sales girl told me they had one in stock and she would hold it for me while I placed the order on-line. I placed the order and waited a week expecting it to arrive any day when I suddenly get an email saying it is out of stock??? I call and the girl wasn't available so she sends me an email telling me that she messed up and had missed the shipper (this was on a Friday) would ship it on Monday. Then on Tuesday she sent an email saying the one she thought she would receive on Monday had not shown up and idi I want to cancel my order? Hell yes I wanted to cancel my order. How many lies does a person have to hear before their trust is gone? Anyway, if you know of a reputable dealer that has one I would like to order it. Thanks for any help. Shootist Posted May 12, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 12, 2007 I got mine with a shot in the dark. Logged onto B&H one night and there it was, Leica Elmarit 28mm f2.8. Hit the Add to Cart button and in 3 or 4 days it showed up. Once I finished the order process I went back to the Leica Lenses pages and it was listed as out of stock. You just have to keep checking the major dealers and if you see one grab it. It would be nice if Leica USA would publish a list of dealers for the WHOLE country. There are dealers out there that do not have good websites, or a website at all, and some of those dealers just may have Leica lenses in stock that people are looking for. They are hoping, waiting, for someone to walk in and buy there lenses. Also that is basically the way I got the Elmarit 24mm f/2.8. Called Adorama about a new one, there website didn't list it as out of stock so I called to see if it was in stock. The salesman I talked to said NO he didn't have a new one but he had a demo.
