bobbywise Posted December 21, 2014 Share #1 Posted December 21, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I've just purchased an M9 from a private seller on eBay, and a Monocrom from an Italian camera shop offering a 12 month warentee. Fingers crossed they have no sensor issues, but if the ended up having corrosion issues will Leica be ok that I'm not the original "first" owner of these cameras when it comes to the "goodwill" sensor change ? jaapv Posted December 21, 2014 Share #2 Posted December 21, 2014 It should be no problem at all.
verendus Posted December 21, 2014 Share #3 Posted December 21, 2014 I've talked to Leica on this issue. Their 'goodwill warranty' is regardless of who owns the camera. My secondhand M9 is in the shop getting the sensor replaced. They are really going above and beyond what other manufactures are doing to make sure the owners (first and subsequent) are happy.
