My two free Leica IR filters (black E46 and E49) arrived today. I'm in San Jose, California. The filter says Germany, but the accompanying paperwork says that they were manufactured in Japan. Also interesting: they were shipped from Wetzlar.

Do you remember the date you requested them?

Helene,

Mine were ordered mid/end of January and arrived yesterday (France). Leica agreed to change my original order from 1 silver 43mm and 1 black 46mm to 2 x black 46mm. Unfortunately they have sent the original order.

Lucky you!:)

I am in the UK and emailed Leica yesterday asking about my filters (39mm & 55mm) which I ordered at the end of February.

A rapid response, which seemed like a standardised email, informed me that:

"because of the large demand at the moment unfortunately we cannot dispatch your filters.

As soon as they are in stock again, they will be sent. They should be available from the 22nd calendar week on.Thanks for understanding."

Week 22, by my calculation, is the end of May, beginning of June.

This a little frustrating since I was in one of my regular Leica dealers in London on Monday and could have bought them there, if I had wanted to.

Sigh!

Tim
