alexc Posted November 30, 2014 Share #1 Posted November 30, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) RWL files are handled perfectly in ACR but not in Aperture 3.6. Also I do not see preview of the files on my iMac with the latest Yosemite version. Is everybody experiencing the same? Over than that it is absolutely lovely camera ( I love manual controls). Jpegs and RWL file, to my taste, are exceptional.

With apple there is no telling when.
allamande Posted December 1, 2014 Share #3 Posted December 1, 2014 Preview does not support RWL. From what I see ACR and LR5 produce the same results which is to say there are some issues. Ece

fotografr Posted December 2, 2014 Share #5 Posted December 2, 2014 Download the free Adobe DNG Converter, version 8.7 and try working on the DNG files. Might work, though I don't use Aperture so can't say for sure. I convert all of my RWL files to DNGs before working on them in ACR and Lightroom. allamande Posted December 5, 2014 Share #6 Posted December 5, 2014 LR has the DNG converter already. If you want to convert the rwl files to DNG, then you can do this in import to LR, you can choose "convert to DNG" option. Saves a step. Ece

jmr Posted March 7, 2015 Share #8 Posted March 7, 2015 Apple has updated Digital Camera Raw, the operating system component which handles RAW conversions, to version 6.03 which supports the RWL format from the D-Lux (Typ 109). This means that Aperture, iPhoto and Preview can all now work with the native RWL files from the camera. They look rather good in Aperture.
jinkster Posted March 17, 2015 Share #9 Posted March 17, 2015 I am a very keen supporter of Apple and love there products and design however I understand Aperture is being phased out so not sure how long the updates will keep coming. I'm using Lightroom.
