How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

There has been a lot of work (mostly by volunteers) going on at my local hill climb course, Prescott, including new drainage, gantries over Start and Finish lines etc.

Here is just one gantry from yesterday.  Fortunately we had not bolted it down as it had to be lowered to correct the error (just another one of those Oops moments!):

Prescott Italia event May 10th.  I don't ever remember seeing one of these in the metal before.  I have met the owner several times - car imported from S. Africa (no rust due to climate).  Subject to a 2 year restoration.  I didn't realise how large these cars were.  The owner also has a DeTomaso Pantera he brought to last year's Italia and he competes in a single seater with Lancia Aurelia engine.

As the bonnet was open, thought I'd grab a quick shot of the V12 (couldn't get in a position to do it justice).  Same motor as fitted to the Muira.

Verity, a 20m tall statue by Damien Hirst, on loan to Ilfracombe from 2012 for 20 years.  Taken from higher ground on the far side of the harbour.

(Caused a bit of controversy at the time!)

Opened the curtains yesterday and saw this on the window ledge. Coaxed it onto a piece of paper and placed it outside in a pot of herbs in the hope it would revive.  Female Azure Damselfly - widespread across Britain. Coenagrion puella.
