peterjcb Posted September 21, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 21, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I had been using a D-LUX 4 and shooting in .jpeg for a month and recently got an M8. So the M8 was also set to shoot .jpeg also and I had no problem opening and editing in DxO. Today I decided to change the format to .DNG and DxO won't recognize any files? I can open the .DNG files in photoshop and lightroom but not with DxO. Am I doing something wrong or is there a setting off somewhere? I am using DxO OPtics Pro 9 - v9.1.1 PS...I did some more researching on the forum ......am I reading correctly that DxO does not support Leica .DNG files???? that would be a bummer because I love DxO..... Bart D Posted September 21, 2014 Share #2 Posted September 21, 2014 DxO does support DNG files from Leica but indeed not for the M8. Only for M (typ 240), M9/M9-P/M-E and X-Vario. peterjcb Posted September 21, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted September 21, 2014 Isn't a .DNG file a .DNG.....why would it be any different if it was produced from an M9 or an M8? peterjcb Posted October 1, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted October 1, 2014 I downloaded the Adobe DNG codecs converter for windows so now I can at least see the thumbnails in my folder. I can then open the files up in PS6 and convert to .jpg so then I manipulate them with DxO. It's not perfect but it will work until someday when I get my Monochrom.. 250swb Posted October 1, 2014 Share #7 Posted October 1, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) If you are manipulating them you would be far better off converting your .dng files to 16 bit TIFF files to work on in DxO rather than JPEG, supposing DxO can work with TIFF of course.
