Chouf Region, or what was historically known as Mount Lebanon "Jabal-Lubnan" is one of those part of the country where you can still see, witness and feel "firsthand" what Lebanon used to be hundreds of years ago. Authentic people, authentic dressing and costume habits and beautiful Lebanese architecture. The way those villagers dress makes them feel different compared to us non-traditionalists and therefore they are a bit conservative and shy toward photographers.

During a tour of several days in that region, I managed to capture every aspect of that region except of course, it's conservative people, but i didn't surrender and after days of touring, I got my first shot, that perfectly illustrate the charm of their women. The lady was walking along the patio of her modest home. I deliberately opted for a back-shot because I didn't want to intrude her privacy and most probably prayer routine, and second, I found that back-shot view to be deeper and symbolic than any other possible angle.
