jmr Posted July 28, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 28, 2006 Andy, good catch of the guy's roving eye. Nice composition too
uulrich Posted July 28, 2006 Share #3 Posted July 28, 2006 Is this now a new style of street photography, as invented by Andy? Andy; I admire your work both on your web pages and I also like some of your pics you posted here. However, w/ this one I would say there is some room for improvement. Too many 'toos' actually:- too much of foreground, too small subjects, one person covered by fence, sky to dominant, too bright sky, too... Want me to continue? andybarton Posted July 28, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted July 28, 2006 Is that all? All your criticisms are perfectly valid and gratefully received. After all, IMHO, this is what this forum should be all about. (I don't necessarily agree with them, though...) If you have looked at my website, you will have noticed that this is about as close as I get to "street photography". To some purists, this is about as close as I get to Leica photography. If you look at the view from this chap's point of view, though, (ignoring the passing scenery) this is what you get.. http://www.leica-camera-user.com/landscape-travel/2350-finally.html#post21018 So, maybe it's not such a bad place after all... Got any of your own shots you'd care to share with us?
stuny Posted July 28, 2006 Share #5 Posted July 28, 2006 andy - Personally, I like all the "too"s since they really emphasize his persistance in watching her, plus the touch of subtlety is rather nice.
