The two from France and Italy were amazed by the number of stones that we have in our forests. This is a typical forest close to where I am living in Sweden N of the town Gävle. The boulders are quite haunting and their mossy faces are indicating a hidden world of fairies and some nasty fellows. The composition is very balanced. This is an area that was a sea bed during the last glacial period and therefore the soil is very thin. It looks nice now and as this is a nature reserve it will stay like this.
