stickan1 Posted August 18, 2014 Share #1  Posted August 18, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I visited this small nature reserve with three fellow photographers earlier this summer. The two from France and Italy were amazed by the number of stones that we have in our forests. This is a typical forest close to where I am living in Sweden N of the town Gävle.  Welcome, dear visitor! Iduna Posted August 21, 2014 Share #5 Â Posted August 21, 2014 Stig, this is a place with a mystical touch of "Middle Earth". The boulders are quite haunting and their mossy faces are indicating a hidden world of fairies and some nasty fellows. The composition is very balanced. Hank Taylor Posted August 21, 2014 Share #6 Â Posted August 21, 2014 Very nice but I would think the stores got there first Forgive my since of humor sometime I go overboard. Seriously this really is a unusual area and you captured it quite well. best regards, Hank
stickan1 Posted August 21, 2014 Author Share #7 Â Posted August 21, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) True the stones were there first. This is an area that was a sea bed during the last glacial period and therefore the soil is very thin. It looks nice now and as this is a nature reserve it will stay like this. But if it was a production forest it would look terrible after the trees have been cut down. Thanks for your comment!
