So, if you want to get your lenses coded (in my case, 90mm F2.8 Elmarit-M & Zeiss 35mm F2) in the UK and you don't want to use MT, who would you use?

In the case of my Noctilux I will either use Leica or not bother. At least with Leica it will get done well .Possibly at a higher cost but I am guessing now ,but realistically could be three months.I would probably do it via my local Leica dealer as he must owe me one for the contributions I have made to his pension fund over the past 30 years.:D

Generally speaking you get what you pay for in this world.Buy cheap and buy twice or in this case wait a long time.I bet the payment is cleared quickly.

You can buy a replacement flange with coding pits already machined for the 90mm Elmarit M on eBay, it's an easy swap, and if your Zeiss 35mm has a groove machined in the mounting face of the flange that is what it's for, to allow for a couple of dabs of black paint.
