250swb Posted August 2, 2014 Share #41 Posted August 2, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) how do you avoid this, or alternatively, what is the best way to change lenses ?I heard that moving lenses to infinity before mounting or unmounting helps ? Nothing helps, just do it. This is ramping up into another 'how to be afraid of your camera' discussion. Any Leica M be it film or digital is a professional camera capable of being used quickly and decisively, not a camera that is going to fall apart if certain etiquettes aren't observed. We regularly get 'I don't change my lens out of doors', or 'I always run a shower to remove dust from the air before changing my lens', but now we have 'don't bump the roller'. Good grief.
