Wertes Forum,

Jo

i probably try to post the question in english:

i own a digilux 2 since last week. i would like to estimate the "condition of use" by the shutter-counts (av. 8000).

is the camera " normal used" or " very much used" and is there any estimated end of funktion/use by the amount of shutter-counts ( 100.000 , 500.000 , 1.000.000) ?

best regards, Jo

8000 is a very low shutter count for a camera that is a decade old. An average photographer would expect to shoot 8000 in (maybe even considerably) less than a year. Leica has never published figures. For a low-level amateur camera 50.000 would be acceptable, a professional/prosumer camera is usually designed for at least 150.000 actuations.
