kb7001 Posted June 29, 2014 Share #1 Posted June 29, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I want to get a spare battery for my X2. There seems to be a big discrepancy in prices. (Type in battery for Leica X2 at Amazon and you'll see what I mean.) The Wasabi battery is around $16 the Leica battery is for $ 119. Is there something wrong with the Wasabi I should worry about? Trivette Posted January 15, 2015 Share #3 Posted January 15, 2015 ......Is there something wrong with the Wasabi I should worry about? I use Wasabi batteries as backups for Leica batteries. I'm currently using one in my X2, and, if anything, the charge seems to be outlasting that of the original Leica battery. I'm also using a Wasabi in in my D-Lux 4. I don't think there is anything to worry about.

J_Thompson Posted January 25, 2015 Share #5 Posted January 25, 2015 I have two spare Wasabi batteries and can see no difference between them and the OEM Leica battery.
dkCambridgeshire Posted January 25, 2015 Share #6 Posted January 25, 2015 This is what can happen when a third party battery is used in a Leica compact camera. Battery is fairly new and worked OK for several weeks - but then, maybe after a firmware upgrade, the D Lux 5 camera monitor showed this message. Welcome, dear visitor! rivi1969 Posted January 28, 2015 Share #7 Posted January 28, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) In all my cameras including the X1 I use Wasabi batteries with no complains at all. I have at least 12. Highly recommended!
2wk Posted January 28, 2015 Share #8 Posted January 28, 2015 Me too. I've had many wasabis for fuji cameras and now the X Vario. They work great except I have had one that did not hold its charge well. Wasabi customer service is great and they sent out a replacement ASAP.
