fotografr Posted May 13, 2014 Share #1 Posted May 13, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I shot this yesterday and today we got hammered with a strong downpour that wiped out the delicate flowers, so this is the end of the line. They only lasted about three days. DLux6 Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! platypus Posted May 13, 2014 Share #2 Posted May 13, 2014 Really and truly a great shot, the DLux images posted on LUF continue to amaze me with their depth and quality!
fotografr Posted May 13, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted May 13, 2014 Thank you, Dee. It really is a great little camera, and so portable. It was largely the posts by Louis2 that convinced me to buy one and I haven't been disappointed.

I find am extremely tempted myself, they seem so versatile and the quality is just stunning (judging by your results & those of Louis2)....I'm not very good at making myself spend money.....but maybe..... I'm generally the same way. For what it's worth, I'm sure you are already aware that Panasonic has a version, the LX7, that is substantially the same for about half the price (am I allowed to say that here?). Brent, Sure you can mention and use an LX7 on this site. I purchased an LX7 last year and find it a very good camera. Seeing I already had Lightroom I figured I'd go with the LX7 and LVF2 viewfinder. BTW, the LVF2 will also work on the D-Lux 6.
fotografr Posted May 13, 2014 Author Share #9 Posted May 13, 2014 Argggh!!! I just slapped my forehead. I just checked online for the LVF2 and it lists for $149. It's probably identical to the Leica one I got for $400. Guess it's another "more money than brains" situation.

If I had purchased the D-Lux 6 I would have gone with the Leica evf. It does look to be somewhat superior.
