Off course I've done that, and I know that the M9/M9p are used there... But in the people section I miss som staged photos like portraits, nude art etc... Is it just the wrong forum for this kind of photos, or isn't the M9/M9p used for this.. If not... Why?

As primarily a landscape photographer I've taken particular notice when people assert that a Leica rangefinder isn't a 'landscape' camera. Or that it isn't meant to be used on a tripod, and a whole lot of other things that try to limit it's use aimed at conforming it first and foremost to a 'street' camera. But history shows it never was at the expense of other types of photography, and even Bresson did landscape work with an M type camera. These limitations also extend to things like not recognising a lens has more than one aperture (wide open), or that narrow DOF trumps something interesting in the frame. You make your own limitations if you aren't careful.

I guess you are asking about studio photography. There is no particular advantage to using an M there, although there is nothing stopping you either. So people tend to use it in areas where it really excels. Having said that, there is some more than excellent portrait and nude photography in the people forum. Look for threads by Tmidds or Hoppyman for instance.

The Leica advantage is small size which gives you advantage with travel, hiking, and "reportage" work.

If you require perfect framing and auto focus, want to do macro work or tele work, a reflex camera is a better choice.

I used my M9 for all my commercial work, not just my street photography - from Gyms, to restaurants, to local landmarks and lit portraits
