Thud Posted May 9, 2014 Share #1 Posted May 9, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Bloomin' digital! All those fiddly buttons getting in the way when I hold the camera. So i buy the M 240 specific handgrip. And it works! Im happy holding the camera. However I can't stop being annoyed. Its black! My camera is silver. Leica decided not to make a silver one to match my £7000 camera. They decided I should be happy to compromise. It's almost as if they told me I bought the wrong colour in the first place. Also its pretty much made of plastic. Sure it works ok except for a few mil of flex in the grip. But really? Over £200 for a bit of placcy to bolt to my brass and magnesium pride and joy. And thirdly.. I really love the original blase plate this replaces. I love the little flat lever that my MP has. The new placcy oversize bolt head is seriously ugly. Go on, tell me just to get on with it if it functions ok and stop whining. I know I'm probably wrong...... hmff!

wattsy Posted May 9, 2014 Share #3 Posted May 9, 2014 Why did you pay £7000 for your M?

parigby Posted May 9, 2014 Share #5 Posted May 9, 2014 It's part of the Leica experience, and mandatory at that, for the end user to get miffed at the amount of £££££'s that you have to shell out for Leica branded accessories, which are of dubious quality, when compared to your M. After all, we can't have you being completely satisfied all of the time - it would be unfair to all the other brands.
farnz Posted May 9, 2014 Share #6 Posted May 9, 2014 You might also complain that Leica doesn't produce a left-handed M, which is very 'handist'. Pete.
Thud Posted May 9, 2014 Author Share #7 Posted May 9, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well it's gone back to the shop! I'll get smaller hands instead.
Exodies Posted May 11, 2014 Share #8 Posted May 11, 2014 They do produce a left handed M. I have one. Funny thing is, the shutter release is on the bottom...
wda Posted May 11, 2014 Share #9 Posted May 11, 2014 You might also complain that Leica doesn't produce a left-handed M, which is very 'handist'. Pete. Unlike the left-handed M9 used by Whitewall in their ads.
