Advertisement Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Hi eronald, Take a look here C1 3.77 New Profile for M8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sean_reid Posted April 27, 2007 Share #22 Posted April 27, 2007 I could only find the M8 UV/IR profile, I can't see one for M8+486. This is with both C1 Pro 3.77 and the LE version. Presumably I'm missing something obvious? Hi Ian, I'm running Pro but I would think it would be there in LE. Mine is right next to the other new M8 profile. It might be a Mac thing. The D3 support didn't show up in the Mac version even though it was supposed to. Sounds like they still need to tweak 3.7.7 a bit for the Mac. Cheers, Sean

Cheers, Sean Sean, I downloaded the Mac LE version about 2 hrs ago and there was no 486 profile included. Perhaps they have removed the 486 profile from the 3.77 download (LE) recently or just didn't include it in the Mac version. Carl
scott kirkpatrick Posted April 27, 2007 Share #24 Posted April 27, 2007 My theory is that they meant to remove the 486 profile from both but only took it out of the Mac version. scott

Guest guy_mancuso Posted April 29, 2007 Share #26 Posted April 29, 2007 Hi Guys still in mexico , in fact i am at a Internet cafe , pretty cool , can't use my phone or GPS in my car but I can get the internet. Guess we now know what is most important. LOL I'm in a town called Rocky Point or the legal name is Puerto Penesco. It's a seaside town on the sea of cortez. basically a dust bowl than water with a lot of drunk americans. ROTFLMAO Okay the Margaritas are really good and working last nights overdrinking off. Played shovel board last night with our 4 wifes and they absolutely wiped our butts. Yes women rule and men drool. anyway i will be working on this when I get home this week . Hard to comment with laptop images but 3.77 does look promising with the new generic profile. Check in tonight
AGeoJO Posted April 29, 2007 Share #27 Posted April 29, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I downloaded the new version (WIN) two days ago and the IR486 profile was there. The colors using that profile are desaturated.... What is the IR486 for anyway, BTW? Thanks.
wlaidlaw Posted April 29, 2007 Share #28 Posted April 29, 2007 If anyone who has managed to get the 486 profile before it was removed could put it on an open post on yousendit, I too would be grateful. it was gone when I downloaded 3.7.7 about 3 hours ago. I think the C1 + UV/IR is a little duller looking than Edmund's Tuned 1, with the high contrast tweak but that was mostly on landscapes. Wilson Has it been removed from the PC version of 3.7.7? You can see back at the beginning of this thread that it was desaturated. While I still have it, I don't see the value of distributing it if it was in fact recalled. scott

While I still have it, I don't see the value of distributing it if it was in fact recalled. scott Scott, It would be nice to have a desaturated profile, as my Biogon 35mm with a B+W 486 filter can often produce very over-saturated greens in certain lighting conditions. I have tried Edmund's profiles and whereas these get it right nearly all the time, even in PS with levels and channels, I have found it difficult to get some of these very green images natural looking. I thought the 486 C1 profile would be worth giving a shot. I understand the Leica filters are a bit less green than the 486. Leica have said they should be posting mine in about a week, so it will be interesting to see. Mind you they said two weeks at the beginning of March. Guest guy_mancuso Posted April 30, 2007 Share #31 Posted April 30, 2007 Just got home and wanted to see what this job looked like from Friday morning before I left for Mexico . 3.77 with IR profile from phase . i shot this at 5300 kelvin becuas i was shooting jpegs also to make immediate 5x7 prints for the golfers. This was for a Health Care company and they brought in the ASU Arizona State University cheerleaders and mascot to shoot with different groups i had it all setup with strobes at a certain point than just like murphy went to hell in a hand basket we ran out of time so had to chase down each group on the course with the cheerleaders and shoot where ever they were. Anyway the skin tones look fairly neutral and nice color. Now green grass here is different than Kentucky and fairly yellow. Welcome, dear visitor! erl Posted April 30, 2007 Share #32 Posted April 30, 2007 Obs: I still find Jamie's JHR_V1 profile to be best of those I have tried. I have B+W filters on all lenses, except the Noctilux (still waiting for Leica to supply). Am I missing something? Q. Is C1LE 3.7.7 the promised 'new' version, or is it just the addition of profiles that is different?
