lars_bergquist Posted April 26, 2007 Share #1 Posted April 26, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Help – is there anybody who has successfully posted pics (jpgs of the requisite small file size) directly from a Mac, current OS, without the round trip to a website? All my attempt fail, and I cannot spot the error as I religiously follow the procedure in 'Attach Files' below. If anyone can do this, I would be eternally grateful for a step-by-step, OS X 10.4.9-oriented set of instructions! The old man from B.C. dist Posted April 26, 2007 Share #3 Posted April 26, 2007 OK, here goes. Never had a problem with this. Step 1: Manage Attachments (see cursor in attached screenshot 1). Step 2: Pick picture (in the pop-up window, "Choose File", pick one or more, then hit "Upload") (see screenshot 2). Step 3: Verify that the file has been uploaded correctly (screenshot 3). Step 4: Send your posting. The first picture is the one I attached with this method (the screenshots were tacked on through editing). They only appear after you submit, and always at the bottom of the post, below your text. pelikan1931 Posted April 26, 2007 Share #7 Posted April 26, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) you have to resize your pictures to conform to the size requirement. alternatively, you can get yourself acquainted with image hosting sites like http://www.flickr.com, so you can post some higher resolution pictures. The process is described in a sticky Announcement at the top of several of the Photo Forum sections. I notice at least one very minor error in that process description regarding multiple image selection - but it's corrected what's described above. The picture I'll try to upload is intended to show that in order to do bounce flash with the M8, all you need is one small 'stupid' hot shoe flash on Manual, and any shoe-to-foot cord; the only thing it does is to release the flash. The histogram and the preview will tell you all about exposure. Well, now: Gee, it worked! Eternal gratitude, as per specs above ...
