The lens on the X Vario though relatively slow receives an excellent review from Putts. I have come to similar conclusions though using manual focus for landscapes and tabulated hyper-focal distances. You might be interested to know that an obvious competitor to the X Vario, the Sony A7R with 24-70 mm Zeiss lens has just been reviewed on photozone.de. It was not that impressive.

It would be courteous at least if those who hang on his every pronouncement as if the very word of Godd could get the man's name right. Oh the irony...

My apologies to Mr Puts. I should know better; people often get my surname wrong and I often feel irritated. It is not Carduelis by the way !!
